Canton Township trustees on Jan. 13 presented a proclamation honoring Robo Challengers FTC Team 21482 for competitive and outreach accomplishments.
Students described their design and engineering process, competition successes (undefeated in qualifying matches at the Grosse Pointe qualifier, advancing as a finalist alliance captain to the Michigan State championship) and outreach events at local libraries and planned events at Canton Public Library. The board presented a proclamation recognizing the team’s achievements and thanked township leaders and library partners for supporting youth STEM.
Supervisor Marie Grama read the proclamation noting the team’s advancement, Think award recognition and role as ambassadors for youth innovation in the community. Team members offered to answer questions and demonstrate their robot.
