Corte Madera appoints Anne Sparkman to Commission on Aging

Sparkman, who said she and her family have lived in Corte Madera for 35 years and that she is a nurse-attorney with experience in health care law, described her interest in age-related issues and coordination with Marin healthcare entities. "I'm a nurse attorney, and I did health care law," Sparkman said in her opening remarks.
Councilmember (speaker 18) moved to appoint Sparkman; the motion was seconded and carried with all members voting in favor.
Councilmembers noted the commission can serve as a hub coordinating resources across towns and agencies and welcomed Sparkman’s stated interest in promoting dignity, independence and mental-health support for older adults.
