Operational approvals also included adoption of the 2027-28 school calendar (first day Aug. 18, 2027; last day June 1; 178 instructional days contingent on waiver), passage of Resolution 2026-001 raising the micro-purchasing threshold for federal food-service funds to $50,000 to permit self-certification, acceptance of a quick claim deed for a small parcel related to the Ballard Street realignment, and selection of McCarthy Insurance Group as property/casualty and workers' compensation broker.
