Jason Miller, John Nico and Kevin Rosa were sworn in as Titusville environmental commissioners; the body approved the semiannual report, set upcoming meeting dates and passed minor administrative motions including sending the wetlands amendment to staff for review.
The Titusville Environmental Commission swore in three new commissioners, approved its semiannual report and confirmed meeting dates for the coming months.
At the opening of the meeting, the assistant administered the oath of office to Jason Miller, John Nico and Kevin Rosa, each reading a standard oath that included a pledge to support and defend the constitutions of the United States and the state of Florida and to faithfully perform the duties of Titusville environmental commissioner.
The commission approved the minutes from the November meeting by voice vote. After nominations for officers, the chair position remained with the incumbent by acclimation; Laura Lee was nominated and accepted the role of vice chair. Commissioners discussed the semiannual report — noting a duplicated line recommending condominiums be added explicitly to the multifamily ordinance — and asked staff to add recent membership changes. Jason agreed to present the semiannual report to city council under the 'other boards and commissions' portion of a future council meeting.
The commission also set future TEC meeting dates: Jan. 27; Feb. 26; Mar. 26; and Apr. 30, 2026 (all 5:30–8:00 p.m.). Staff and commissioners highlighted upcoming public events including an Arbor Day tree dedication at the Pritchard House and a stormwater workshop on Jan. 22. Commissioners urged greater public engagement on the urban forestry management plan and asked staff to circulate links for outreach.
With business complete, a motion to adjourn passed and the meeting closed.
