Planning Commission adopts alternate 2026 schedule, approves LUAC appointments and minutes

The commission approved the consent appointments by voice vote; no public comments or letters were recorded on those items.
Staff presented Exhibit A, an alternate 2026 calendar that removes the second July meeting to align the commission schedule with the Board of Supervisors’ summer recess and give staff a midyear opportunity for process improvements. Commissioners discussed a single‑month shift in November to avoid Veterans Day and voted to adopt Exhibit A after a motion by Commissioner Gomez and a second by Commissioner Wirk. Exhibit C (planning commission rules) was provided for reference and the chair said appointment of a nominating committee for chair/vice chair will be agendized at a subsequent meeting.
