Chamber Touts Data‑center Spending and Local Jobs in SEDA Quarterly Update

At the Stillwater Economic Development Authority meeting on Jan. 12, Elaine Zanotti of the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce presented the quarterly economic‑development update, highlighting recent local investments and workforce initiatives.
Zanotti said Kingspan Roofing and Waterproofing celebrated a ribbon cutting and will operate a U.S. distribution location in Stillwater. She reported that contractors associated with the nearby data‑center projects have contributed nearly $4,000,000 in local spending and more than $38,000,000 with partners, covering community contributions, donations and hospitality. Zanotti also noted a recent two‑week film production in Stillwater that involved about $250,000 in local spending and said the chamber has been advancing partnerships with regional stakeholders, Meridian Technology Center and the Department of Commerce on workforce programs and outreach to area schools.
Trustees asked about the hub project's opening date; Zanotti said she had heard the hub might open soon and later said staff were hoping for February but that the date was not firm.
The trustees received the report; the SEDA consent docket was approved earlier in the meeting 4–0. Zanotti said the chamber will continue outreach around workforce development and partner coordination as planned.
