New planning commissioner introduced; staff warns March could be busy with multiple development hearings

At the start of the meeting, Cody Byrd, Wellington Town planning director, announced the planning commission had filled a vacancy and introduced "mister Eric Stahl" as the new member.
Eric, speaking briefly, said he had served about seven years on the Board of Adjustments, had worked as an accountant for a local business for two decades, lives in the Knowles neighborhood and serves as president of the Knowles Homeowners Association. "I've been on the board of adjustments for, I think, 7 years now," he said in his introduction.
Byrd told the commission several development applications remain under staff review and are unlikely to be ready for the February meeting. He said commissioners should keep the March meeting date open because multiple public hearings — plats and site plan reviews — could arrive together, potentially making March a much longer meeting.
During board comments, a commissioner reported that Kaufman and Robinson, an aerospace company previously reviewed by the commission, is erecting tilt-up walls on a new two-story facility and that crane activity is visible at the site.
No formal public hearings or substantive land-use decisions took place at this session; the discussion was limited to introductions, scheduling and brief construction updates. Staff asked commissioners to be ready for a busier March agenda.
