BayCare Sound reports record growth: 59 events in 2025 and two record-breaking attendances

BayCare Sound staff told the council on Jan. 12 that 2025 marked a step change in venue activity and attendance.
Bobby Rossi, reporting for the sound, said the venue staged 59 events in 2025 (compared with 24 the year before), achieved two record-breaking attendance nights and improved average paid attendance per show by roughly 400 patrons. Rossi said the venue developed a ninth seating/standing configuration to accommodate artists' needs and had positive feedback from promoters and agents.
Rossi said the sound expanded programming into additional genres (comedy, classical, Latin, hip hop) while maintaining strong relationships with promoters including AEG and Live Nation and two newer partners, 98 Rock and Outback Concerts. He said the venue invested in sound, lighting, video/IMAG and barricade infrastructure to enhance patron and artist experience.
Council members praised the results and asked staff to continue outreach to downtown merchants and nonprofits about parking and event logistics; Rossi said staff had already conducted merchant meetings and would continue working to improve communications around schedules and expected attendance.
