At item 8.1 the board considered a staff recommendation to ask City Council to approve a grant of easement to Pacific Gas and Electric Company for a portion of city property at 5035 Harville Road (Reservoir 6).
Celeste Carranza, an associate real property agent with Real Estate Services, told the board that PG&E had placed a guy‑wire anchor on city property without authorization and that staff and PG&E identified a better location during an on‑site meeting. "PG and E is requesting a 75 square foot easement for installation and maintenance of an anchor to stabilize an existing distribution pole," Carranza said, adding that "the easement is valued at $500, and PG and E has also agreed to pay staff costs." Staff confirmed that the easement would not interfere with current or future operations.
Board member Wright moved that the board recommend City Council approve the approximately 75‑square‑foot easement and authorize the assistant city manager to execute the easement deed; the motion was seconded by Vice Chair Anoni. A roll call vote returned aye votes from the members present with Board member Mullen absent; the motion passed unanimously with Mullen absent.
No public comment was offered on the item during the board meeting. The recommendation will be forwarded to City Council for final action.
