Township announces new ladder truck, ambulance and public-works progress

Hamilton Township administrators updated trustees on several operations items during the meeting. The police department hosted a demonstration of a BOLO wrap device, a non-lethal tool that wraps an assailant’s legs to aid restraint while reducing fall-related injury risks. Administrator and chief staff described it as an additional option to support de-escalation.
Public works progress was reported: footers for the new public-works facility at Tessman Park are due to be poured this week, steel is on site and underground utilities are under construction; staff said the township aims to open the building next November despite weather-related delays. Contractors for stream stabilization and rerouting at Mounts Park expect to begin in January and staff will provide public notifications when exact dates are available.
Trustees were invited to view equipment and attend training; staff said social media notices will announce the push-in ceremony.
