The board approved a contract with Hunt County Voter Administration to conduct the district's trustee elections for Districts 2, 3 and 4 on May 2, 2026. Administration staff described the county office's responsibilities as managing polling locations, training poll workers and other logistics.
"That county voter administration handles all logistics to conduct the election, as far as polling locations, handling all urban voting, training poll workers," a district representative said as part of the presentation.
Trustees also voted to accept the formal order of election. The order sets early voting April 20 through April 28 and lists a single early voting location at the Hunt County Voter Administration office on Washington Street. Board members present signed the order; the president signs the separate notice of election to be presented at a later meeting.
Trustee Miss Stewart moved to enter the election services contract and Miss Tippett seconded the motion, which passed on a voice vote. The order of election was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
