CRA approves engineering task order for Dewberry and awards Minnesota Avenue sidewalk bid

Staff said, "This is, these are engineering services of one of the sidewalk projects, we're working on this year. It's in the budget. We have been talking about this project in the past and now it's we're in the implementation phase." The motion to accept the task order was moved and seconded and the roll-call vote recorded 'Yes' from Mister Purnell, Miss Tender, Mister Wart, and Chairman Peebles.
The CRA also considered bids for the Minnesota Avenue sidewalk and approved awarding the construction contract to Demolition Pros at $84,265. Staff reported multiple bids were received and that the winning bid "came in well under anticipated budget at $84,265." The motion to approve the award was moved and seconded; the same four members voted 'Yes' on the roll call.
The meeting also approved the consent agenda item adopting the meeting minutes from 11/12/2025 and recorded a procedural motion related to having Commissioner Ward "share the meeting," both of which were accepted in unanimous roll-call votes. The chair closed the meeting and announced the commission will meet again at 05:30 for the next commission meeting.
