The commission received an update on the city manager recruitment process. Staff reported they received about 52 total applications in the current process, of which roughly 49 are new after removing duplicates. The administration plans to assemble application packets and a spreadsheet identifying candidates who meet minimum qualifications to help commissioners focus their review.

Commissioners asked that the city provide the application materials on the next agenda so the newly appointed mayor may participate in the review. Staff indicated they will provide the materials in time for commissioners to evaluate candidates ahead of a decision point.
