The board also considered background policy revisions under BSBA and approved an amendment to policy BCF to reduce the number of principals on a school health advisory committee to a single principal representative and two staff members from each school, a change presented to avoid overrepresentation of supervisors in committee deliberations. Board Member 4 moved the amendment and the motion passed by voice vote.
The consent agenda was approved without opposition. Later in the meeting Board Member 4 moved — and the board approved — a closed session "to consider personnel, the monthly personnel report, and religious exemptions," citing a provision of the Virginia Code as stated in the record. The board convened in closed session following the vote.
