During its reorganization and business session on Jan. 14, the West Windsor Township Council approved a package of resolutions and administrative actions covering meeting schedules, procedural guidelines, appointments and several specific administrative matters.
Among items listed and approved by motion were a limited access agreement for Block 5 Lot 20.01 (Ellsworth Advisory Services LLC), an MOU to support Boy Scout activities with the Mercer Area District/Washington Crossing Council covering Jan. 1, 2026–Dec. 31, 2027, the purchase of one conventional chest chassis from Camp Bell Freightliner LLC under Sourcewell cooperative contract for $125,810, and a supplemental funding request to NJDEP Green Acres for a $1,637,000 open-space matching grant.
The clerk also read a resolution authorizing Lorraine Jones, tax assessor, in conjunction with special tax counsel and the township attorney, to set and pursue matters involving property tax assessment and exemptions as set out in the township code (chapter 4, section 31e). The council approved the listed resolutions by roll-call vote.
Why it matters: approvals allocate municipal purchasing, strengthen grant-seeking for open space preservation and clarify delegated tax-assessment authority, actions that carry fiscal and operational consequences for township administration.
What’s next: the administration will execute contracts and pursue the Green Acres application and other administrative follow-up subject to the usual procurement and grant processes.
