City manager reports progress on subdivision, library, bed-and-breakfast renovation and wayfinding signs

AUBURN — At the Jan. 12 meeting, the city manager summarized progress on several local projects and thanked volunteers who supported the building's 110th-anniversary celebration.
He said Canyon Creek Subdivision is nearing full build-out with only one lot remaining unsold and that local building officials are meeting regarding a nearby brewery expansion. The manager reported the Placer County Library project is progressing through interior finishes; he said the bed-and-breakfast renovation at 164 Cleveland Avenue (the former Powers Mansion Inn) is nearing permit issuance pending a few items to resolve with the fire department.
The manager also recognized city historian Carol Kramer and said roughly 125 people attended the building's anniversary events. He noted holiday entertainment zones operated without major issues and said the city will begin replacing several faded brown wayfinding signs, including one near the 7-11 on Auburn Folsom Road, with installation expected to start Friday.
Council members did not take formal action on these updates during the meeting.
