Staff said they expect a change order for the design-authority work authorization and will proceed to price the work after planning commission review. The airport will explore a city storm‑drainage fund to cover approximately $100,000 of storm drainage improvements so that tenant buildout funds are not reduced.
Facility details: Staff reviewed revisions to the building layout (smaller kitchenette, added data closet, ADA restroom and storage) and utility placement strategies including hiding HVAC units behind screening walls. Staff also said ongoing maintenance will be required for quality control filters and agreed to monitor them annually.
Next steps: Staff will complete the design review, obtain planning commission feedback, finalize pricing, and bring a bid schedule and any funding-parcel requests back to the commission.
