City engineer Jill Rhodes told the Troy Planning Commission on Jan. 14 that the city has taken steps to consolidate multiple lots that comprise Archer Park into a single parcel in the name of the Board of Park Commissioners and that the final step is planning commission approval so the map can be recorded.
Rhodes said the process began more than a year earlier to put parcel names into the same organization, that council had already signed off on related steps and that the planning commission needed to approve the lot consolidation because the action involves more than five lots. "All we're doing is combining them," Rhodes said, describing the change as administrative housekeeping with no development plans tied to the consolidation.
Commissioners confirmed whether the item required a recommendation to council or direct approval; staff said the commission should approve it. A motion and second were made and the commission approved the consolidation by roll call. Rhodes thanked the commission after approval.
