Staff member (Speaker 2) presented before-and-after photos and said "He already complied," referring to the demolition of structures. Board members and commenters raised concerns about the exposed well's depth and safety. In response to a question about how deep it was, Speaker 2 estimated "I wanna say, like, 10 feet." Speaker 4 and others suggested fencing or filling the well and noted that a pool or nuisance ordinance might provide enforcement authority.
The board directed staff to send a notice to the property owner to seal the well and to contact environmental staff to determine whether an existing ordinance applies. Staff said they had observed the well temporarily covered with plywood during site visits and that complaints had subsided since the demolition work.
