Commission approves South Pasadena Little League 2026 field-use permit

Community Services Supervisor Natalie Wilcox presented South Pasadena Little League’s request to reserve Arroyo North and South fields and Orange Grove Field for spring (March 1–May 31, 2026) and summer (June 1–Aug. 31, 2026) sessions. Wilcox outlined weekday and weekend time windows for practices and games and said there were no scheduled field closures at the time of the request.
A motion to approve the field-use permit was made by Commissioner Bagaso and seconded by Commissioner Lai; roll call recorded Yes votes from Vice Chair Plotkin, Commissioner Bagaso, Commissioner Lai and Commissioner Weinberger and the motion was approved. Wilcox noted that City Council has previously approved a fee waiver for Little League to support youth recreation programming.
Next steps: If approved, staff will issue the 2026 field permit with the presented conditions and coordinate scheduling with schools and other users as needed.
