After the zoning discussion and public comment, the Woodford County Fiscal Court moved through routine business and approved a series of motions by voice vote.
Personnel committee recommendations to update job duties and advertise positions were approved unanimously. The court accepted the county treasurer’s quarterly report and a clean audit; the treasurer reported a fund balance of $15,067,329.23.
Contracts and procurements approved include: authorization for a contingent community stadium turf partnership agreement; authorization for a 911 billing contract contingent on county attorney and judge approval; approval of an electrical inspector service agreement (James McClain) for a four‑year term with a nominal fee increase; a professional services agreement with Bell Engineering for the Millville sewer line extension; and payment of an AECOM invoice for $58,056.72 for the Big Sink Sidewalk project.
The court approved an EMS training agreement to pay $5,039.25 for a candidate's paramedic training in exchange for a two‑year employment commitment and ratified appointments to the Ag Extension District Board. The court also approved surplus and transfer actions including the surplus of two sheriff's vehicles to the school district and the purchase of a 2026 Chevy Tahoe for the sheriff's office at $59,707 using asset forfeiture funds.
