City withdraws and renotices several cases after notice/service issue; many matters continued

Shortly after opening, staff notified the magistrate that a system error had produced notices with an incorrect year, creating a service issue for new cases. Magistrate Robert Riggio recessed and then withdrew an order previously entered for case SMGO12602 (D and J Global Holding LLC) and directed that affected matters be renoticed with the correct date for the February docket.
Riggio explained these corrections only affected the new cases where respondents were not present and indicated that returned cases where respondents appeared in person would proceed. He instructed clerks to reissue notices with the corrected 2026 dates.
Several continuing matters showing active repairs or permitting were amended rather than fined; magistrate set new compliance cutoffs and hearing dates (commonly compliance by Feb. 4 with review/hearing on Feb. 10, 2026, or March 4 with review on March 10, 2026) and emphasized respondents should keep inspectors informed to avoid fines.
