The Cottage Grove City Council accepted a resolution at its Jan. 7 meeting recognizing third-quarter 2025 donations to the city. The donations included $500 from County Commissioner Carla Bigham to fund a plaque and tree in honor of the Hortman family, $7,500 from Rosemary Callahan for a sculpture at Woodridge Park in memory of her son Ryan, and an in-kind donation from AmRise Midwest of 156 tons of class 5 material intended for the Great Cloud Trail and a connecting trail to Saint Paul Park. Councilmember (speaker presenting donations) asked the council to accept the donations, and the consent item was approved by voice vote.
