School board elects Doctor Patillo chair, names Doctor Cotton vice chair and confirms clerks, officers

At its annual reorganization meeting, the school board elected Doctor Patillo as chair and Doctor Milton Cotton as vice chair and completed a series of organizational appointments and approvals.

Board members nominated Doctor Patillo for chair and voted unanimously to elect him. Nominations for vice chair included Doctor Milton Cotton and Miss Tamara Shoemake. Doctor Cotton addressed the board, saying he had served "in many leadership capacities" and that "I show up, all of you know that I'll do the job that's given to me," and accepted the nomination.
