Gatlinburg reappoints members to EDRB, zoning appeals and tree board

During new business the commission noted that Jared Durrett and Randy Watson were leaving the Environmental Design Review Board (EDRB) roster; Randy Watson asked to be reappointed and Brent Whaley was nominated and confirmed to fill one of the vacancies. The motion for Whaley was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board also moved to retain Matt Zoder on the Municipal Board of Zoning Appeals and reappointed Jan Lapidus and Dennis Malcolm to the Gatlinburg Tree Board. Each confirmation was moved, seconded and approved with no recorded opposition in the meeting transcript.
The appointments will allow those advisory panels to continue to operate with full membership for review of design, zoning appeals and tree-related matters.
