Montgomery swears in Officer Isaiah Rodriguez and honors Festival of Trees winners

The Village of Montgomery used its opening session to swear in Officer Isaiah Rodriguez and to present community recognition awards.
Chief (police) introduced Rodriguez as one of the village's first community service officers who advanced through the program and successfully completed testing to become a police officer; Rodriguez is currently in the field-training program. The chief invited Rodriguez's family forward for a badge pinning.
Rosie Boeing presented the 2025 Merry and Bright Festival of Trees results, thanking community partners and volunteers. Community-voted winners included Lakewood Creek Elementary School Girl Scout Troop 21 (third place), Montgomery Countryside Fire Protection District (second place, 62 votes) and Orchard Road Animal Hospital (first place, 116 votes). The Greater Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce selected an outdoor chamber choice award for Casa Kendall County; that recipient was not present.
Trustees congratulated the winners, and attendees were invited to take photos in the lobby.
