The Lakeville Conservation Commission on Jan. 13 closed two wetland hearings, set conditions on a shoreline repair and continued several other matters to Jan. 27.
The commission opened a public hearing on a requested amendment to an existing order of conditions for 9 South North Street under the Wetlands Protection Act (M.G.L. c.131, §40). Jamie Bissonette of Zenith Consulting Engineers said the purchaser of the lot proposes a slightly different house footprint and septic layout; the firm said the revised plan keeps work outside the 25-foot buffer and below one acre of disturbance. The commission voted to close the hearing and issue an amended order of conditions with the usual permit conditions and a Board of Health contingency; the new plan date was recorded as Dec. 3, 2025.
At 19 Shore Avenue, applicants Paul and Sheryl Flynn sought to reconstruct a failing retaining wall. Paul Pelosi of Deans Point Survey Consultants described the existing wall sinking into the beach and being overwashed during storms; he proposed a Versa-Lok-style wall with crushed-stone drainage and weeps. Commissioners required a Natural Heritage review filing and a copy of that filing prior to work, directed that any conditions from Natural Heritage be added to the order, and set a top-of-wall elevation not to exceed 56.3 feet. The commission moved and seconded to close the hearing and issue an order of conditions with those requirements.
Routine scheduling motions carried: matters for 137 Hemlock Shore Road, 52 Clearpawn Road and 15 Cliff Pond Road were continued to Jan. 27, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lakeville Police Station. The commission accepted minutes from Sept. 23, 2025 and adjourned the meeting.
No contested roll-call votes were recorded; motions were approved by voice votes during the meeting.
