Mark Burrows (Ward 3) opened public comment by saying he saw a social-media post that only one council member attended the memorial for the late Council Member Yolanda Stokes and urged the council to be ashamed if true. "If that's in fact true, every single 1 of y'all should be hanging your head in shame," Burrows said. Several other speakers urged the council to ask why members did not attend and to avoid quick judgments about condolence decisions.
