Saratoga County holds hearing on proposed 2026 pay increases for certain county officials

Saratoga County Board of Supervisors convened a public hearing Jan. 14, 2026, on a proposed local law to amend the 2026 county compensation schedule to provide salary and cost-of-living increases for certain county officials. The hearing was called to order at the board's meeting room at 40 McMaster Street in Ballston Spa at 4:30 p.m.

"The purpose of this hearing is to listen to your comments," said K., who opened and closed the hearing. The Clerk of the Board read the published notice, saying the hearing was held "pursuant to Resolution 360 of 2025" on Introductory Number 4, Print Number 1 of 2025, entitled "a local law amending the 2026 county compensation schedule to provide a salary and cost of living increase for certain county officials." The Clerk told attendees that copies of the proposed local law were available in the Clerk's office and online at www.saratogacountyny.gov.

The Clerk advised that written comments could be emailed to publiccomment@saratogacountyny.gov or mailed to the Clerk of the Board and must be received by Jan. 14, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. K. instructed that members of the public who wished to speak should state their name and address and would be allotted three minutes.

When asked, the Clerk said no members of the public had signed up to speak, and K. reported that no written communications had been received by the stated deadline. The public hearing was then closed with no oral testimony taken at the meeting. The transcript does not record any vote or formal action on the proposed local law during the hearing itself.
