Monroe County approves $30,332 change order for Election Central floor repairs

Mr. Bridal (Speaker 7) told the board that demolition at Election Central uncovered damaged concrete subfloor areas that require repair to meet the flooring manufacturer’s warranty specifications. He requested approval of change order #2 with Strauser Construction in the amount of $30,332 to complete floor leveling and repairs.
Commissioner 1 moved to approve the change order, citing adequate funding in the 2025 general obligation bond fund 4820 allocated for Showers building repair. Commissioner 2 seconded the motion. The board took no public comment and approved the change order 3–0.
Speaker 7 said completing this repair is necessary to provide a smooth, level substrate for new flooring and to preserve the manufacturer's warranty.
