Public Works director unveils CIP Gantt chart, plans bids for stairs and flags emergency 11th Avenue repair

Public Works Director Ken told the Forest and Beach Committee on Jan. 15 that the department has published a capital-projects Gantt chart to make project status more transparent and help the city manage limited staffing against a long list of projects.
Ken said the chart is posted on the city website and will be updated monthly so council members and the public can track progress. "When we get a priority, it doesn't mean we get money and then it gets implemented," he said, explaining the separate steps from prioritization through design, permitting, bidding and construction.
