Committee passes resolution honoring NCSL’s 50th anniversary

Senator Pappas, the sponsor, said the resolution contains the same language enacted informally the previous year but now moves through the full legislative process so it can be entered as an official joint resolution and sent to NCSL. "Most of the states have had their legislatures pass resolutions rather than an informal statement," Pappas said, describing the measure as straightforward and ceremonial.
No members of the public testified on the resolution. The motion to approve was moved by Senator Anderson and seconded by Senator Pappas; a roll call recorded five ayes. The resolution will proceed for further legislative consideration.
