Council approves $274,000 sanitary sewer rehabilitation project to line aging mains

Public Works staff said the project will install cured‑in‑place pipe (CIPP) lining in roughly 5,400 linear feet of existing sanitary sewer mains identified by age and condition, followed by reinstallation of 58 service connections. The project is funded from sewer rental funds.
Tyler Griffin, Public Works, said the city has conducted annual lining projects since the 1990s to maintain the sanitary sewer system. The council closed the public hearing on the project and approved the plans and estimate by roll call vote; the clerk recorded “all members voting aye.”
Ending: Staff said the project will proceed to bidding and construction scheduling under the approved plans and funding.
