The Millbrae Elementary School District Board of Trustees completed its annual reorganization Dec. 17, electing Maggie Musa as board president for 2025, Karen Chin as vice president and Frank Barbaro as clerk.
Trustees moved and seconded the nominations from the dais; the motions carried by voice vote. Musa was sworn in by her son at the meeting and repeated the oath of office. Karen Chin was subsequently sworn in by her husband. Trustees confirmed the clerk appointment by voice vote as well.
Trustees and district leaders used the reorganization time to thank outgoing board president Lynn Ferreira for her service, noting her leadership through recent superintendent transitions and other district business. The board then moved on to committee appointments for 2025, which the trustees approved as listed on the agenda.
