Executive secretary reports recent BZA approvals, upcoming hearings

Executive Secretary Sheila McAllister told the commission that on Nov. 18 the Board of Zoning Appeals approved two special exceptions for substandard-frontage lots and announced upcoming hearings Dec. 3 (family day home CUP at 192 Colony Road) and Dec. 17 (transitional buffer at 12 Whittier Ave.).
Executive Secretary Sheila McAllister briefed the Planning Commission on recent Board of Zoning Appeals actions and upcoming cases during the Nov. 19 meeting.
McAllister said that on Nov. 18 the Board of Zoning Appeals approved two special exceptions the Planning Commission had forwarded, for lots described in her remarks as having less than 50 feet of frontage at addresses she read (one cited as 13245th Street and the other 1343 24th Street in the transcript). She also announced a Dec. 3 hearing on a conditional use permit for a family day home to serve up to 12 children at 192 Colony Road, and a Dec. 17 special-exception hearing on a request to reduce a transitional buffer from 30 feet to 10 feet at 12 Whittier Avenue.
McAllister closed her report by wishing commissioners a happy Thanksgiving and noting the City Center tree lighting on Nov. 29.
