Executive secretary: City Council approved planning cases; BZA approved two special exceptions

Executive Secretary Ms. McAllister reported to the commission that City Council approved all cases that had been forwarded from the Planning Commission at its Sept. 9 meeting, including two zoning text amendments. She noted the Board of Zoning Appeals approved two special exceptions on Sept. 16, bringing a running total of such approvals to roughly 12–13 for the year.
Ms. McAllister said the commission has no cases listed for Oct. 1 and the body agreed to forego that meeting and prepare for upcoming cases. She confirmed an Oct. 15 meeting is scheduled, where two additional special exceptions for nonconforming lots are on the agenda.
The report was procedural; commissioners asked staff to continue tracking the number of nonconforming‑lot special exceptions and to bring material/durability concerns to future review where appropriate.
