The City of Oakland Park Planning and Zoning Board on Feb. 10 voted unanimously to recommend City Commission adoption of proposed amendments to the city’s comprehensive plan (Plan 02/1945) to address deficiencies identified by the Broward County Planning Council in the countywide Broward Next review process.
Planning Supervisor Rick Buckeye presented the amendments and the background: the city completed a full plan update and adoption last year, and Broward County’s review produced a provisional recertification that identified seven policies that required modification to align the city’s future land use and other elements with Broward Next. Buckeye said the city has one year to complete these focused amendments.
