City planning staff recommended approval Tuesday of a coastal development permit for an addition and roof deck to a single-family residence at 417 West E Street in Encinitas.
The project, filed as case CDP-007113-2024, would add a 404-square-foot single-story addition and a 312-square-foot roof deck to an existing detached house, staff said. The presentation noted the site is within the Coastal Commission’s appeal jurisdiction and that the addition represents an increase of more than 10% to the home’s floor area, which triggers the coastal development permit requirement.
