The board granted the requested permission to hire extra poll workers in larger precincts, with the minutes recording the motion as passing 4–0. Daniels asked the board to help publicize the new March primary date so voters and potential candidates can prepare.
No contested policy changes were adopted; the vote was an administrative approval to restore prior staffing practice in large precincts that is now constrained by state law.
