Council adjourns into executive session to discuss negotiations on Willoughby Corner affordable-housing phases

At the end of its Jan. 6 meeting, Lafayette’s City Council voted unanimously to adjourn into an executive session under Colorado Revised Statute Section 24-6-402(4)(e)(I) to discuss negotiation strategy and instruct negotiators concerning existing and potential agreements with the Boulder County Housing Authority on phases 2 and 3 of the Willoughby Corner affordable housing project.

The motion to enter executive session was made and seconded; the council voted in favor and did not return to open session. Staff indicated the sessions are for determining positions and developing negotiation strategy and that any public actions on agreements would be taken in open session at a later date.
