Committee members assigned tasks: one member will write and submit an article to the local paper (to run at least twice), another will format that copy into a poster for the library and senior center, and staff volunteers will forward the materials to town channels (the cable scroll and the town Facebook page). The communications subcommittee will be asked to help coordinate a broader push; the committee plans to reuse last year’s article as a template and add updated photos and a slide show featuring recent project images. Committee members emphasized that the public hearing is an opportunity for residents to voice priorities about how CPC funds should be spent.
The committee also discussed logistical challenges — winter dusk and cold weather can reduce turnout — and agreed to lean on multiple channels (print, electronic and in‑person posters) to reach seniors and other residents. Members said they will circulate the draft outreach copy by email so subcommittee members and staff can post and distribute the notice in time to meet newspaper and newsletter deadlines.
