"COBA filed a complaint with the housing production office," the speaker said, adding that the office "responded with about a 113 page document today, which just sent you." The council member said staff will review the submission; "City Attorney, Kyle Roberts, our planning director, will look at it. And we'll be following up."
Several council members remarked on the implications of the complaint for local decisionmaking. One councilor said the filing "does remove some local control in terms of the things that cities are trying to do" and urged constituents to be attentive to legislative representation. Another said she would "review those 110 pages" and implied the complaint merits close scrutiny.
