The Bristol Bay Borough Assembly took several formal actions at its Oct. 6 meeting.
Procedural votes - The assembly approved the Oct. 6 agenda by voice vote (motion carried). (SEG 012–034) - The assembly approved the special meeting minutes from June 19, 2025, by voice vote. (SEG 035–069)
Ordinance introduction - The assembly introduced Ordinance 2025‑11 (a reorganization of taxicab and higher‑vehicle rules) for a first reading on Oct. 6. The ordinance introduction passed by voice vote; second reading, public hearing and adoption are scheduled for Nov. 3, 2025. (SEG 1196–1256)
Resolutions and contracts - Resolution 2025‑30: The assembly adopted a resolution authorizing the borough manager to enter a memorandum of agreement with the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities for the Naknek–King Salmon nonmotorized pathway. The motion passed by voice vote; staff said the village council initially led the project and the borough will handle grant reporting and maintenance responsibilities per the MOA. Manager directive — community program funding - Manager James said he has legal authority to issue a $6,000 check to the Shop with a Cop program to avoid cash‑flow problems and said he would do so with assembly concurrence unless there was objection; members indicated concurrence.
