Assembly adopts street‑address ordinance, schedules CIP workshop and approves routine items

The Bristol Bay Borough Assembly handled several administrative and routine matters on Dec. 5.
Ordinance 2025‑20, amending borough code chapter 13.04 regarding street names and addresses, received a second reading and was adopted. "All those in favor of adopting 2025‑20... signify by saying aye," the presiding officer said, and the chair later recorded "Ordinance 2025‑20 is approved." The assembly also introduced Ordinance 2025‑23, which would update assembly member compensation rules and permit elected officials to contract with the borough subject to statute; the measure was moved for first reading and will return for further consideration.
The assembly moved to schedule a workshop to review Planning & Zoning Commission Resolution 2025‑10 (Capital Improvement Plan recommendations) to meet the state's CAPSIS submission timeline and agreed to hold the workshop any time after Dec. 15, with Courtney to poll members for an exact date. Mayor Dave Lacks recommended reappointment of Greg Harris and Tony Francisco to the Planning & Zoning Commission; the assembly approved the reappointments. The assembly also voted not to file a protest to an AMCO transfer of controlling interest for two liquor licenses (license numbers on the record), with one member abstaining due to a conflict of interest.
Members closed the meeting with holiday remarks and adjourned at 8:46 p.m.
