At the January meeting the commission handled routine business, including election of officers and approvals of minutes and claims.
A motion was made and approved to elect Dan Stevens as president. The commission then elected Red Beaver as vice president and David Berger as secretary; each position was approved by voice vote. The minutes of Nov. 25, 2025, and the presented claims were also approved by the commission.
The commission received an update on the local training center project. Speaker 1 described current site work—aggregate piers, footings, roadway work and drainage—and thanked Chris Beaver and Beaver Materials for on-site support. Speaker 1 said building elements should become visible around May–June and that there were no foreseen problems at this time.
The commission set its next meeting for March 17 at 8:30 a.m., accepted a motion to adjourn and closed the session.
