Staff said the assembly may be asked to give further direction on whether the group reports to the manager (administrative working group) or to the assembly (subject to the Open Meetings Act).
Committee members said they would request staff outreach to identified parties and follow up at the next GAS meeting; the committee noted parks-and-recreation and other stakeholders had expressed interest in participation. The committee closed the item with instruction that staff follow up and report back.
Next steps: staff will contact potential participants and return recommendations and a clarifying process proposal to the GAS committee and, if needed, to the assembly.
