House approves journal, recognizes champions and Eagle Scout, schedules committee meetings and adjourns

The gentleman from Greene moved to approve the House Journal for Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026; the clerk reported a voice tally of 125 yes and 0 no and the Journal was approved. The clerk and the speaker confirmed the result.
Members used points of personal privilege to recognize accomplishments and milestones. The gentleman from Pulaski introduced members of his district’s state golf championship teams, named players and coaches Matt Frey and Michael Cummings, and said the House would present a resolution honoring them. The gentleman from Camden introduced John Hayes, who recently completed his Eagle Scout award and led community projects including welcome signs in Lake of the Ozarks.
Several brief announcements followed: an Alpha-gal syndrome advocacy event scheduled for Jan. 20 in Hearing Room 2 (9–10:30 a.m.), a committee on insurance executive session to meet in the basement after adjournment, and the committee on elections planning a meeting for Tuesday pending scheduling notices. Before adjourning, the gentleman from Green moved that the House stand adjourned until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026; the motion passed by voice vote and the House adjourned.
