Powell said another voluntary committee survey had a 22% response rate and that the results would inform leadership initiatives.
On benefits, Powell told supervisors the county received a renewal with a negative 2.6% increase, which she described as unusual in her 19 years. She also reported wellness participation at 66% and highlighted a recent health screen that identified a potentially life-saving cardiac condition for one employee. The county completed open enrollment successfully and Powell said the PBM RFP kept Wellmark as the pharmacy provider; the county will switch to HealthEquity for FSA administration in January with a carryover policy for flex balances.
Powell said recruitment advertising on Facebook and Instagram produced higher engagement metrics (about 51,358 people reached and roughly 6,800 clicks between September and November) and that the department is preparing a compensation survey and negotiation materials to share with supervisors next month.
Next steps: HR will present compensation-survey findings and continue leadership and recruitment initiatives; Powell said she will bring contract materials related to benefits administration as they finalize.
