Amherst Zoning Board moves to deliberation, approves minutes and adjourns

At the Nov. 19 meeting the Amherst Zoning Board of Appeals took several procedural actions.
A motion to move into deliberative session to consider the evening’s three variance requests was moved by Mister Velozzi and seconded by Mister Jeffries; the board took roll-call votes and recorded affirmative responses from attending members. After deliberation the board returned to open session.
The board then entertained a motion by Mister Balaji, seconded by Mister Jeffries, to approve the minutes of the Oct. 29, 2025 meeting "as they were submitted." The board approved the minutes on a voice vote (aye).
Finally, a motion by Mister Anderson, seconded by Mister Jeffries, to adjourn passed on a voice vote and the meeting ended. The chair announced the board’s next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 17, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
What’s next: The three variance items were held for deliberation; applicants will be notified of outcomes in writing within 14 days.
