Planning staff reported two ongoing workstreams are temporarily suspended. The short-term rental workshop is on hold, and additional work on shipping-container homes is paused while staff consults with Planner Tyler about next steps.
Planner Jamie said the commission could request a workshop to resume either subject; she noted that a shipping-container prototype the staff visited looked promising as an affordable-housing option but that guidelines and building-code conformity still need more work and direction from staff.
No action was taken; staff will report back when they have guidance from Tyler or when the commission requests a new workshop.
